John von Wicht Painting - Growing, New York, 1963

A powerful mid-century abstraction by John von Wicht, whose bold color sensibility and relentless experimentation helped shape the language of New York modernism.

His work is held in the world’s leading museums, including the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum.

A strong and thought provoking work by a true pioneer of color and American abstraction. Bold, historic, and stunning.
